Do your store and baby products endorse international safe sleep recommendations?


Background

It has been found in an overseas study that some baby stores and products provide contradictory messages which undermine health professionals and confuse parents1. Our preliminary, informal assessment confirms these findings in New Zealand, with some stores and some products better than others.

Will you commit to becoming a safe infant sleep promoting store?

We want to support baby product retail stores to be confident that customers can trust your baby product information, product displays and staff advice on safe infant sleep. We encourage you to make an assessment of your baby products, stores/departments, imagery and staff advice.
